SwitchUpCB Blog Architecture Implementation Details for Timeline Metadata
SwitchUpCB Blog Architecture Implementation for Timeline Metadata
This document outlines the core structural, tactical, and chronological design decisions made for the logging metadata matrix deployed across the log.switchupcb.com platform.
⏳ Chronological Layout Flow
The metadata pill matrix is distributed across a horizontal timeline reflecting the natural progression of real-world time-based events which provide the reader with a historical reading sequence for the log's development.
The layout is ordered from left to right as follows:
-
📅 Event Timeline Date (
timeline)- Description: Captures the literal calendar milestone or real-world event that triggered the log.
- Placement: Absolute first in the sequence, mapping the origin point of the data story.
- Color Accent: Warm Gold (
#ffc107border).
-
✏️ Log Created Date (
date)- Description: Tracks the day the text or note skeleton scratchpad was natively born in the local vault environment.
- Conditional Logic: Visible only if a post lacks a dedicated
publishedcontext field to prevent inaccurate system placeholder timestamps on imported content. - Color Accent: Warm Gold (
#ffc107border).
-
🚀 Log Published Date (
published)- Description: Marks the official day and runtime hour the completed log entry was served to the live web stream interface.
- Color Accent: Neutral Secondary Theme.
-
🔄 Log Updated Date (
updated)- Description: Displays the automated system timestamp marking when the file was last modified or synchronized.
- Color Accent: Vibrant Blue (
#007bffborder).
🛠️ Data-Provenance & Formatting Rules
🌐 Universal Year-First Formatting
Every date string processed by the dynamic execution loop explicitly enforces the format YYYY MMM DD (and optional HH:MM AM/PM for full timestamps).
This engineering choice targets two core operational metrics:
- ISO 8601 Alignment: Adheres to universal backend development standards (sorting data smoothly from largest to smallest unit).
- Regional Disambiguation: Completely eliminates confusion between US (
MM/DD/YYYY) and European (DD/MM/YYYY) visitors, ensuring high global legibility.
