I spent 2 hours and 18 minutes walking to this location.
What did you learn?
Here is what I learned.
You should move towards an objective without expecting help.
What happened?
Here is what happened.
I am moving to Dallas.
I have an objective to transport myself and two suitcases to Dallas with less than $50.
I requested help.
You cannot use a rideshare app (e.g., Uber, Lyft) to Dallas for less than $50.
A theory of capitalism asserts you can find a better price by riding on someone's commute.
I requested your commute.
I posted on Facebook in two local groups with a question, "Who commutes between Corsicana and Dallas often?"
58 people responded between these 2 posts. However, you cannot add a call-to-action to the posts without the post being blocked (e.g., "DM to receive money to take me on your commute").
I messaged every person who responded with a schedule.
[NAME], what times and locations and do you visit between Dallas and Corsicana on your commute (e.g., Monday 12 PM from address X to address Y)?
You can receive money to carpool me without changing your route.
One person ("The Commuter") responded.
I also contacted "part-time Uber drivers from Corsicana who have jobs in Dallas", but these people were not interested.
I moved in the other direction from my objective.
Here is a picture related to the following description.

The Commuter and I agreed
- to meet at the "Pilot Dealer" between 6:00 AM and 6:05 AM
- and The Commuter drives me to "UTSW in Dallas" (The Commuter's destination)
- for $25.
Here is my mistake.
I walked in the opposite direction from my objective (Dallas) because I considered help.
I started walking to "Stewart Toyota" at ~4 AM.
- I attempted to Uber to "Pilot Dealer", but it did not work because there aren't enough drivers.
- I was not on-track to be at Pilot Dealer by 6 AM.
I messaged The Commuter at 5:30 AM stating I would be at "[place near Stewart Toyota] at ~5:50 AM" and to tell me whether to turn back around.
The Commuter responded "I dont know where any of that is".
I responded at 5:55 AM with my location at or near "Stewart Toyota", which is 4 minutes from "Pilot Dealer", but still en route to the The Commuter's destination.
The Commuter saw the message at 5:55 AM.
The Commuter blocked me at 6:00 AM (i.e. the profile became unavaliable to me).
Where is your proof?
Here are pictures which show me on the road with 2 suitcases between 4:00 AM and 6:18 AM.
